River Spean

A river in two sections, the River Spean emerges from Loch Laggan in Glen Spean and flows southwest for only 1¼ miles (2 km) into Loch Moy. It flows out from this loch in a westerly direction, collecting tributaries including the Rivers Treig, Roy, Allt Leachdach and The Cour before reaching Spean Bridge. A mile (1.5 km) further west, the Spean turns northwest and finally joins the River Lochy at the southwestern end of Loch Lochy, having completed a course of 14 miles (23 km).
