A tiny lochan on Craighalloch Moor in The Machars of Dumfries and Galloway, Loch Gower is situated on the edge of plantation forest, a half-mile (1 km) northwest of Loch Chesney and 3 miles (5 km) southwest of Spittal. There is another Loch Gower 18 miles (29 km) to the northeast.
