A river of Caithness, the Berriedale Water rises in headstreams to the east of Strath Halladale and the Strath of Kildonan. It flows 17 miles (25 km) east and southeast through deep wooded valleys, joining the Langwell Water at Berriedale just before the latter enters the North Sea.
