Glutt Water

(Glut Water)

A river of central Caithness in Highland Council Area, the Glutt Water (also Glut Water) rises on the Knockfin Heights in the flow country and follows a course of 6 miles (10 km) to Dalganachan, where it joins the Rumsdale Water to become the Strathmore Water, which in turn becomes the River Thurso. In its middle course, the Glutt Water passes through a steep and narrow gorge and includes the waterfall of Eas Gluta.
