River Lochay

A river of Breadalbane in north Stirling Council Area, the River Lochay rises about 6 miles (10 km) north of Crianlarich and flows north between Ben Challum and Beinn nan Imirean before turning east to flow the length of Glen Lochay. At Killin it meets the River Dochart as it enters the western end of Loch Tay. The Falls of Lochay are noteworthy, and just below these is Lochay Power Station which is part of the Breadalbane Hydro-Electric Power Scheme, although only a small amount of its power is generated from the river itself.
