A small lochan lying just to the south of the A861 road in Glen Tarbert, on the watershed between the Carnoch River and the River Tarbert, Lochan a' Chothruim is located 5 miles (8 km) east of Strontian. This lochan should not be confused with another of the same name located just 3 miles (5 km) to the north.
