Beinn an TuircThe highest peak on the Kintyre Peninsula, Beinn an Tuirc rises to 454m (1489 feet) on the southern edge of the Carradale Forest, 4 miles (6.5 km) to the southwest the settlement of Carradale. A 680 ha (1680 acre) wind farm, comprising 50 turbines, was established on the hill in 2002.
