Glen Tarsan

Located in the centre of the Cowal Peninsula of Argyll and Bute, Glen Tarsan runs southwest from Glen Massan descending to the eastern shore of Loch Striven, a short distance south of the head of that loch. The middle section of the valley was flooded in 1950 to form Loch Tarsan, a reservoir for hydro-electric power generation.
