A pair of summits within the Glentress Forest of the N Scottish Borders, Makeness Kipps rises to 583m (1912 feet), 3 miles (5 km) northeast of Peebles and a similar distance southeast of Eddleston, with its second summit reaching 561m (1840 feet) a short distance to the north.
