Stratherrick Free Church of Scotland

A sparsely populated valley to the east of Loch Ness, Stratherrick (occasionally Strath Errick) runs parallel to the Great Glen for 13 miles (21 km), following the upper reaches of the River Foyers and extending east towards Loch Ruthven and the head of Strath Nairn. It includes the settlement of Whitebridge where a bridge over the River Fechlin built in 1732 by General Wade survives.
