Shee, Glen

The name given to the valley of the Shee Water in eastern Perth and Kinross, Glenshee is associated with winter skiing which is focused around ski tows to the north at Cairnwell. The hamlet of Spittal of Glenshee situated at the meeting of streams that flow down Glenlochsie and Gleann Beag 16 miles (26 km) north of Blairgowrie, is a centre for outdoor sporting activities. Glenshee Church dates from 1831 and the hump-backed Glenshee Bridge here was constructed during the building of the military road in 1749-63.
