Teviotdale
A valley in the Scottish Borders, Teviotdale carries the waters of the River Teviot northeastwards from Teviothead to Ancrum Bridge, a half-mile (1 km) to the west of Ancrum. Until 1917, The Duchy of Teviotdale was held by the Crown Prince of Hanover, a descendant of King George III and cousin of the British Royal family. The title was removed because the Prince sided with Germany during the First World War.
