Penwhapple Burn

A stream which flows through the Penwhapple Reservoir in South Ayrshire, Penwhapple Burn occupies a wooded ravine which extends northwest for 2½ miles (4 km) to Old Dailly. Thereafter the burn flows a further half-mile (1 km) to fall into the Water of Girvan. The Penwhapple Burn rises to the west of Delamford Hill, within what is now Hadyard Hill Wind Farm. Including its passage through the reservoir, it is 5½ miles (9 km) in length.
