An estate and mansionhouse situated in Crail Parish, east Fife, Kingsmuir lies to the west of the B 9131 road from Anstruther to St Andrews. Associated with the Hannay family, Kingsmuir was once a source of peat to surrounding communities. The ruined keep of the old castle of Pitarthue lies to the northwest.
