One of the larger of a group of small lochs in the SW of the Northmavine district in Shetland, Brei Water lies to the north of Mangaster Voe, 1½ miles (2.5 km) northwest of Islesburgh. The Brei Water drains to the east into the Gill Water and to the west into the North Sound via Heo Dale.
