Mu Ness

A hammerhead-shaped headland at the southeast corner of the Shetland island of Unst, Mu Ness lies between the Taing of Noustigarth and the Breiwick Stack. Nearby stands the ruins of Muness Castle (1598), the most northerly castle of the British Isles. It was burned by Dunkirk privateers in 1627 and abandoned by 1750.
