Campbeltown Loch

A sea loch on the southeast coast of the Kintyre peninsula, Campbeltown Loch forms an inlet of the Kilbrannan Sound. The small town of Campbeltown lies at its head, while at its mouth is Davaar Island. The loch was made famous in the popular song by entertainer Andy Stewart (released 1963) which includes the chorus:

Oh, Campbeltown Loch, I wish you were whisky!
Campbeltown Loch, Och Aye!
Campbeltown Loch, I wish you were whisky!
I would drink you dry.
