St Ninian's Bay

(Saint Ninian's Bay)

St Ninian's Bay lies on the west coast of the Isle of Bute in Argyll and Bute. Facing out over Inchmarnock Sound, towards the island of Inchmarnock, this shallow sandy bay is located 3¾ miles (6 km) west southwest of the island's main settlement of Rothesay. The headland at the western end, St Ninian's Point is the site of the ruins of an ancient chapel.
