Gruinart, Loch

A shallow sea-loch on the northwest coast of the island of Islay in the Inner Hebrides, Loch Gruinart is situated 6 miles (10 km) north northwest of Bowmore. It is 4 miles (6.5 km) in length and there are a few houses, but no significant settlements, around its shores. There are extensive dune systems around Ardnave Point and Killinallan Point at the mouth of the loch.
