The innermost arm of Loch Maddy in the NE of North Uist in the Outer Hebrides, the shallow Loch Yeor (Gael: Loch Dheoir) is situated 1½ miles (2.5 km) west northwest of the settlement of Lochportain and 2¾ miles (4.5 km) north of Lochmaddy. Its southern shore comprises the finger-like peninsula of Askernish.
