Lying to the east of Mallaig in Highland Council Area, Loch Nevis is a sea loch which extends westwards from Camusrory and opens out into the Sound of Sleat, opposite the island of Skye. Accessible only by boat or on foot, a passenger ferry runs from Mallaig, calling at the hamlets of Inverie and Tarbet.
