A small sea-loch which forms an inlet on the east side of Loch Snizort Beag in NW Skye, Loch Eyre lies 7 miles (11 km) south of Uig and a similar distance north northwest of Portree. The A87 Trunk Road runs along its eastern shore, passing through the settlements of Kensaleyre and Eyre which overlook the loch.
