Spey Bay

A wide bay on the coast of the Moray Firth, stretching from Lossiemouth in the west to Findochty in the east, Spey Bay lies at the mouth of the River Spey which flows down through Moray to meet the sea here. A windswept village of the same name with a golf links to the east lies to the east of the river mouth. This settlement was once the principal salmon fishing station on the River Spey. Of interest in the vicinity are the reedy estuary of the river, an enormous shingle ridge, a metal-trussed railway bridge, a driftwood summerhouse and the Tugnet Ice House.
