Berstane, Bay ofA rock-trimmed embayment on the western shore of Inganess Bay on the northeastern coast of the Orkney Mainland, the Bay of Berstane is situated between the Taing of Berstane and the Head of Holland, 1¼ miles (2 km) east of Kirkwall. The Sand of Gillies lies between the rocks at the northern end of the bay.
