South Nesting Bay

A sizeable inlet on the E coast of the Shetland Mainland, South Nesting Bay lies to the south of Dury Voe, 9 miles (15 km) north of Lerwick. The bay contains several subsidiary inlets; namely the East Voe of Skellister, West Voe of Skellister, Dock of Lingness and Es Wick, together with several islets and rocks. A beacon on Inner Voder warns of the dangerous Climnies and Voder reefs. The bay is noted for its Common and Grey Seals.
