Harlaw House

Harlaw House is a former Free Church manse, located at Harlaw, 2½ miles (4 km) north northwest of Inverurie, in the Garioch district of Aberdeenshire. Built c.1843, it was significantly extended in 1883 with the addition of four-storey tower built in memory of those Aberdonians killed at the Battle of Harlaw in 1411. This features a corbelled and crenellated parapet and angle stair turret. A little turret was added to the opposite corner of the house at the same time. Both are in red granite and feature tall slate conical roofs. The property has been C-listed since 1984.
