Duntrune Castle

Duntrune Castle stands on the north shore of Loch Crinan, a half-mile (1 km) north of the settlement of Crinan in Argyll and Bute Council Area. The enclosure of the castle dates from the 13th Century while the tower house dates from the 16th century. Restoration in the late 18th century and modernisation in the 1950s has maintained this seat of the Malcolm family in a habitable condition.
