Princess Beatrice's Cairn

A grand conical cairn which forms one of a group of commemorative cairns within the policies of Balmoral Castle in Aberdeenshire, Princess Beatrice's Cairn is located on the northeastern slopes of Creag an Lurachain, a quarter-mile (0.4 km) south southwest of Easter Balmoral. The cairn was built to celebrate the marriage of Princess Beatrice to Prince Henry of Battenberg on the 23rd July 1885. Beatrice was Queen Victoria's youngest daughter.
