Beinn Achaladair

Located east of Loch Tulla on the border of Perth and Kinross with Argyll and Bute, Beinn Achaladair rises to a height of 1038m (3406 feet) from Achallader farm. This is said to be where Black Duncan of Cowal, Campbell of Glenorchy, built one of his seven castles, the remains of which can still be seen next to the farmhouse. The summit of the peak is located on the edge of the northwest face. Its name originates from Gaelic and means "field of hard water".
