Beinn a' Chreachain

Located to the north of Loch Lyon in Perth and Kinross, Beinn a'Chreachain, rises to 1081m (3547 feet) and is the tallest peak in the Bridge of Orchy range. Coire an Lochain is northwest of the summit, below Meall Buidhe, whilst to the northeast a long ridge leads to the Moor of Rannoch. Beinn a' Chreachain derives its name from the Gaelic for "hill of the clamshell".
