Fincastle House

A mansionhouse in Glen Fincastle, Fincastle House overlooks the Fincastle Burn which flows from Lochan na Leathain through Allean Forest to join the River Tummel 4 miles (6 km) east of the Queen's View. This was the seat of Sir Robert Gilmour Colquhoun (1803-70), who served as British Consul General in Egypt. It is now the seat of the Barbours of Bonskeid, who sold Bonskeid House in the 1950s and now run their estate from Fincastle.
