Townhill Country Park

Lying two miles north of Dunfermline, the Townhill Country Park comprises two areas of amenity and recreational land to the east and west of the village of Townhill. The eastern section includes Townhill Wood while the western half is dominated by the Town Loch which is a centre for both water skiing and breeding wildfowl.

Once an active industrial area, there are remains of a brickworks and power station by the loch whose water was also used to power steam engines in two flax mills and a flour mill in Dunfermline.
