A headland on the southeast coast of the island of Islay, in Argyll and Bute Council Area, Ardmore Point extends into the sea 5 miles (8 km) northeast of Ardbeg and represents the easternmost point of the island. It lies next to the isolated settlement of Ardmore and offers views over the Sounds of Islay and Jura, the islands of Jura, Gigha, Cara and east towards the Kintyre peninsula.
