A significant headland in the North West Highlands, Rubha Reidh (or Rubha Re) faces into the Minch at the end of the Melvaig Peninsula which separates Loch Gairloch from Loch Ewe, 10 miles (16 km) northwest of Poolewe. A Stevenson-built lighthouse was constructed here 1910-12. The support buildings now include a hostel, outdoor centre and has a small visitor centre.
