A small island off the north coast of the island of Yell in Shetland, Outra Ness lies to the east of the Wick of Breckon, 1½ miles (2.5 km) northwest of the settlement of Greenbank. Were it not for the narrow channel of Mid Ness, Outra Ness would be an extension of the peninsula of the Ness of Houlland.
