A long crescent-shaped hill lying between Strath Finella and the Glen of Drumtochty in the north and the Howe of the Mearns, Strathfinella Hill is located 2 miles (3 km) west of Auchenblae in S Aberdeenshire. Cloaked in plantation forest, the hill rises to 414m (1358 feet), with subsidiary summits at 306m (1003 feet), 355m (1164 feet) and 323m (1059 feet) at Black Hill in the east.
