A modest headland which represents the northern junction between The Firth and Tresta Voe in the West Mainland of Shetland, The Nev is located ¾ mile (1.2 km) west northwest of the settlement of Tresta. The A971 road hugs the shore as it curves around The Nev, connecting the Walls Peninsula with the Mainland.
