Gulvain

(Gaor Bheinn)

A mountain in the Lochaber district of Highland Council Area, Gulvain (Gael: Gaor Bheinn) rises to reach a summit cairn at 987m (3238 feet) to the south of Loch Arkaig. Its massive peak is composed of banded granite, which forms steep slabs on its western flank. Classified as a Munro, its name is possibly derived from the Gaelic for 'filthy hill'.
