Heaval
(Sheabhal)
A mountain of S Central Barra in the Western Isles, Heaval (Gael: Sheabhal) lies a mile (1.5 km) northeast of the settlement of Castlebay and rises to a height of 383m (1256 feet). On its southern slopes is a white marble statue of the Madonna and child, known as Our Lady of the Sea, erected in 1954.
