A headland on the north coast of the mainland of Orkney, Aiker Ness overlooks Eynhallow Sound and the island of Rousay, 10 miles (16 km) north northwest of Kirkwall and 6 miles (10 km) northeast of Dounby. The Broch of Gurness is located here and a small loch, of the same name, was drained in the 19th century.
