St John's Head


(Saint Johns Head)

A steep promontory on the northwest coast of the island of Hoy in Orkney, St. John's Head is amongst the highest vertical sea cliffs in Britain, reaching a height of 346m (1135 feet) above the sea. St. John's Head lies 1½ miles (2.5 km) north northeast of the Old Man of Hoy and 2½ miles (4 km) north northwest of Rackwick.
