A hammerhead-shaped peninsula on the northeast coast of the island of Yell in Shetland, Burra Ness faces the island of Fetlar at the entrance to Basta Voe. The remains of the substantial Broch of Burra Ness are located here, overlooking Bluemull Sound to the northeast.
