A partially forested summit on the border between East Ayrshire and South Lanarkshire, Dippal Rig rises to 365m (1197 feet) on the southwestern shoulder of Regal Hill, 3 miles (5 km) north of Muirkirk. The Dippal Burn flows at the base of its southeastern slopes.
