Morar Railway Station


(Mòrar)

A railway halt in Lochaber, Morar Station (Gael: Mòrar) lies on the West Highland Line, to the south of the hamlet of Morar, on the isthmus which separates Loch Morar from Morar Bay. Opened with the line in 1901, it is now operated by ScotRail. The station is unstaffed and was used by only 3828 passengers in 2009-10. It is preceded by Arisaig Railway Station, 4 miles (6.5 km) to the south southwest, and followed by Mallaig, 2½ miles (4 km) to the north.
