Carn BanA peak in the Monadhliath Mountains which lies 6 miles (9 km) northwest of Newtonmore in Highland. Despite meeting the height criterion, Carn Ban is not sufficiently distant from its neighbour to the southwest, Carn Dearg (945m / 3100 feet), to be classified as a Munro.
