Bleak Law is located on the eastern flank of Lammer Law in the SW of East Lothian and rises to approximately 465m (1525 feet) a half-mile (1 km) southwest of Hopes Reservoir and 4 miles (6.5 km) south of Gifford. There are two other hills of the same name nearby; one just 3 miles (5 km) to the east northeast and the other 5½ miles (9 km) in the same direction.
