Located on the northern coastline of Lismore, over looking Loch Linnhe and Bernera, the ruins of Achadun Castle date from the 13th Century. The castle was held by the Bishops of Argyll until the mid 16th century. Three miles (5 km) to the east lies the Argyll and Bute settlement of Achnacroish.
