Beinn Fhada

(Ben Attow)

Beinn Fhada (also known as Ben Attow) rises to a height of 1032m (3385 feet) to the north of the Five Sisters of Kintail, in the Skye and Lochalsh district of Highland Council Area. Qualifying as a Munro, its summit is marked by an Ordnance Survey triangulation pillar. Its name is derived from the Gaelic for "long hill" which is appropriate since it stretches a distance of 5 miles (8 km), a distance equivalent to the length of the Five Sisters.
