Stonebyres Linn

A waterfall situated a mile (1.5 km) downstream of Lanark in the Clyde valley. It is 21m (69 feet) high and is used as the source of hydro-electric power via the Stonebyres Power Station.

Stonebyres Linn is an effective natural barrier to migrating salmon and sea-trout, preventing these fish going further upstream.
