Mam Sodhail
(Mam Soul)
Located northeast of Loch Affric, on the border between the districts of Inverness and Skye and Lochalsh in Highland Council, Mam Sodhail rises to a height of 1181m (3875 feet), making it (with Carn Eighe) one of the highest mountains north of the Great Glen. Although the ridges are steep, this peak is not particularly rocky. Its name originates from Gaelic and means "hill of the barns".
